Borne Documentary

Borne on the Fourth of July is a documentary about the U.S.S Newcomb (DD586). The Newcomb served in the Pacific in such notable battles as Leyte Gulf, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. The Newcomb fought gallantly and managed to inflict a good deal of damage on the Empire of Japan before herself sustaining 4 kamikaze hits. Carriers have been sunk by one kamikaze but this small destroyer stayed afloat and even kept fighting! This is a story worth preserving, that is my goal.
